This video has to be the most important one when comparing different dances. We get a great look at so many different styles of dance from so many different countries all around the world. No dance was exactly alike but he was able to tie then all together to make an amazing video showing just how important dancing really is. It brings people together no matter what our differences may be. There were countries that don 't get along with one another but still all participated to show off their culture. Each country showing off their dance isn 't just for entertainment, it is their way of communicating with the rest of the world. Flamenco is a Spanish type dance typically to the tune of a guitar. It is a very energetic type of dancing using the fall body and even clothing to provide effect such as flailing a dress that provide much entertainment. There are lots of movements that express strong, sensual feelings. Another more upbeat energetic dance is swing/jazz. This type of dance is based off of the melody of jazz music. It incorporates lots of movements and sometimes can be used to tell a story. One of my favorite videos was the various clips of Bob Fosse. His dancing along with Gwen Verdon was so entertaining and fun to watch. His perfect skills and the upbeat nature of the performances really drew in my attention and made me want to dance myself. Classical ballet is more of an elegant form of dance where the precision and physical talent really shine. Ballet is often used to tell a story relying on the dancing itself and music. Ballet provides strong emotion and that is needed because there are no words usually during a performance. Modern Dance as a whole is the variations and adaptations we make to traditional dancing. Our generations and the few that have passed have added our own twist on traditional ideas and create our own styles to match our newer
