The target audience of the advertisement are girls from the age of thirteen or have a high reading level. These people are the target audience because they would enjoy the story and understand the text of the novel. The novel would appeal to these people because the main character is a strong female and the novel is filled with mystery, which is something these people might like. The things that needed to be considered when making the advertisement for the target audience were making it eye catching and making the target audience interested in the novel.

The first review is by Alex Flinn, New York Times bestselling author and the second review is by Julia Eccleshare, Love Reading 4 Kids. I chose the review by Alex Flinn because she is one of New York Times bestselling authors and thought people who have read her books, might be interested in Dance of Shadows because of the review she gave. Examples of glittering generalities are the two sentences of the novel. I included these sentences because they are on the novel’s front and back cover. Both sentences draw the audience in, which is one of the reasons I decided to read this novel.
