Recently, rapper Future, Ciara’s baby daddy and ex-fiance, took to Twitter to voice his opinion about Russell Wilson’s involvement in his son’s life. After images of Wilson, Ciara’s boyfriend, hugging baby Future Zahir at his Seattle Seahawks training camp flooded the internet, Future tweeted his criticism of Ciara’s decision. “Never make a permanent decision over a temporary circumstance. #umtoobossedup,” he tweeted. The “Bugatti” rapper was obviously not a big fan of the interaction.

I was built for this, this what I’m supposed to be doing, but when it comes to your child, it’s something I don’t take lightly,” she told CBS. “At the end of the day, my son will be the one that’s affected the most out of this. I think people have to think about that versus just shouting out things.”

Ciara has tried to contact Future to help clear the air, but he does not want to talk to her. She doesn’t think it is right for him to speak on such a sensitive and personal topic, when he does not know all of the facts. The mother of baby Future Zahir wants her son’s father, and social media trolls, to think about how their words will impact her child. Ciara and Future never spoke and she left it at that.

In assessing a performance, I approached it much as an adjudicator for a University Interscholastic League One Act Play contest is charged. I begin by reading the play, which I was vaguely familiar with and possibly considering as an option for my students. I find when I choose a play (especially for contest) I spend more time with it, in pre-production researching and preparing, and it is usually a longer season with the contest play. (Most shows go up in four to six weeks and run for one to two weeks, while contest pieces rehearse for six to eight weeks and can run for up to six weeks.)…

In 1992, Mary Fisher gave a speech to the Republican National Convention in Houston, Texas, entitled “A Whisper of AIDS”. In this speech, Mary Fisher shouted out to a nation that was allowing AIDS, the enemy, to win because of prejudice and politics. Mary Fisher wanted to “lift the shroud of silence” (Fisher) against the AIDS epidemic, by reminding her audience that AIDS does not discriminate and neither should we. Throughout Angela’s Ashes, Frank McCourt’s father, Malachy, had a purely negative effect on not only Frank, but also the rest of his family. I think that nothing he did positively affected them, even if they seemed like they did. Malachy put himself first constantly, and in my opinion he did not care about his family at all, after the tragedy of losing three of his other children. The three main reasons that I believe he negatively affected his family are because he had a serious alcohol addiction, that he had too much pride in himself, and that he left his family to go to England. Saying that Malachy had a drinking problem would be an understatement.…
