What is the first word that pops up when you think sports? Maybe Basketball, Soccer or Football. But do you want to know what pops up when I think sports? Dance. You heard me, Dance. Why? 1. I’ve been dancing for 9 years, and 2. (the more important one) Because it is a sport and you should consider it one too.
Dance Is just like any other sport
Critics argue that there are no inside sports and so dance shouldn’t be a sport. Well, I have one word, that is NO doubt a sport. BASKETBALL.
Dance does not really differ from basketball at all. You're probably saying: What? How? or: You don’t make sense to me, you never did and you never will. Well, I am about to make sense. Basketball has certain positions and moves that they have to do to get the ball. When they do certain shots like a 3 pointer, they get a certain amount of points. In competitive dance you have to do the choreography (in basketball the certain moves) and go to the certain places so you don’t bonk into each-other. The basketball shots are the leaps and crowd shocking moments that get you more points. Getting it more?

They win at multiple competitions because they have a really good dance team) they said: “It’s only fair to include dance as unique sport... Gymnastics & Figure Skating are both Olympic sports with a strong dance element.” Dance meets all the requirements but critics say it doesn’t necessarily meet one. That one is that boys don’t dance. But that is SO NOT TRUE! You might be familiar with Dancing with the Stars for instance. There are more boys on the show every season. Also one time I went to my friends competition. I counted how many boys were on his team alone and the result was 17 from what I counted. I left early so there have been more. Do see what I’m trying to get at
