1. 1.When comparing my actual drawing with the heat-map, I can conclude that my heat map did not reflect what I have drawn. For example, the miscorrelation between my drawing and the heat-map is portrayed by the car and the bike I drew – my heat-map did not show my eyes on these two objects. However, I was able to draw the mountains in the background, the people walking on the sidewalk and the shops on the side of the road, which is where my heat-map indicates I mainly looked at.
Another odd occurrence is that I drew a tree on the sidewalk that was not present in the picture provided. This may because I depicted the green pole in the picture as a tree, or it could also be due to the road …show more content…
My fixation pattern generally did not match the list of objects that I wrote down; however, my fixations did appear to correlate for the first two objects on my list (sandwich and pizza). For example, my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th fixations were sandwich, fries, pizza, sandwich and lobster, respectively. The first five objects on my list were sandwich (1, 4, 9), pizza (3), weights (24), heart (26,27), water bottle (28), where the numbers beside each object represents the fixation number/s. Therefore, a relationship between my list and fixation number is absent.
Furthermore, the objects that had the most number of fixations were the sandwich (1, 4, 9) and the fish (5, 15, 16); however, I was unable to list the fish dish, whereas I was able to list the sandwich. This may be due to recent fixations (24-17) being able to last longer in my memory better than later fixations (1-20). That is, my list of objects had higher fixation numbers. For example, 5/7 of the objects in my list had fixations above 18. This exhibits that I am more easily able to remember objects that were recently seen.
Another odd occurrence is that I was able to list the staircase workout machine without any fixations on it. This may be due to me noticing it in my field of vision while I was looking at the surrounding objects, such as the fruit basket (6) and weights
