In the land of Happyopoulos, a little girl was born to a noble family. She was named Ebrill because she was born in the month of April. Her father was the knight, Sir Jeffrey, and her mother was Lady Katelyn. Ebrill was a softhearted person. She would go out of her way to help anyone. Once she gave away her favorite teddy bear to a little boy with no toys. That’s why her mother, Lady Katelyn, gave her the nickname, “Golden Heart.” At the young age of 2, Ebrill was like a little songbird. Lady Katelyn would teach Ebrill how to sing. During work and chores, it was very common to catch Ebrill humming a tune to herself.
Since Ebrill was 3 years old, she wanted to grow up to become a knight, just like her father. When Ebrill would go out to play, she would use a stick as a sword and pretend she was fighting with the trees. At Sir Liam’s house, with a couple of other pages, Ebrill learned horsemanship, archery, manners, and sword skills. All the pages were like servants towards Sir Liam. They would have tasks like doing, laundry, serving meals, and carrying messages. During chores, Ebrill noticed that one of the pages were sick, so she took over all their chores for that day. Ebrill was always one to volunteer to help anyone. Besides chores, they learned how to carry a lance while riding a horse. One of Ebrill’s favorite lessons was using wooden shields and swords to battle other pages. At the end of each lesson Ebrill would always have a new cut or bruise.
