1. Let the spinous processes release. Imagine them dropping and melting downward and stacked on the same plane. 2. Notice the balanced alignment of the left and right joints between the head and the top of the vertebrae, and the left and right joints between the ilium and sacrum.…
Ms. Teresa Poindexter is a patient of The Woman's Clinic. I treated her for the duration of her most recent pregnancy, where she developed several complications due to fibroids blocking one of her kidneys. This however could not be treated due to her pregnancy. It is my medical opinion that due to these complications that the patient undergo a full hysterectomy in order to treat her condition as well as prevent any future complications.…
It is a result of either sphincter spasm or scar tissue build-up. Scar tissues are not as flexible as the normal ones and can be accumulated in a constricted area such as the rectal canal. There are gradual cases of anal stricture that blocks the stool exit and is incorrectly relieved through force by straining and pushing. However, the…

These muscle fibers are composed of myofibrils, which not only give the muscle its striated appearance but also are also composed of contractile proteins known as actin (thin filaments) and myosin (thick filaments). Each actin protein has a binding site for myosin, which is regulated by two proteins known as Tropomyosin and Troponin. Both of these regulator proteins inhibit the binding of myosin to actin by overlapping the binding sites in a confirmation that could be described as a ribbon (Tropomyosin) and a thumbtack (Troponin). Each skeletal muscle is then divided and encapsulated by three difference layers of connective tissue. The first of these layers enclosed the whole skeletal muscle and is known as the epimysium, the second layer of connective tissue called the perimysium encloses each fascicle and finally the last layer of connective tissue which encapsulates each muscle fiber, which is known as the…
The patient is a 48-year-old female, who had a D&C and removal of a large polyp at Allegheny Hospital 01/2017. The patient states that she has had two weeks of heavy bleeding out of four weeks since the D&C. She was told they removed a large polyp but could not get all of the polyp out. No ablation was performed at that time. Doctor's notes from that physician were obtained which showed an ultrasound with a 2.4 cm fibroid, normal ovaries, and benign endometrial biopsy. Surgery notes have not been obtained or pathology from the polyp.…
The insertion is at the lesser trochanter. The illiacus origin is the iliac fossa and the insertion is at the lesser trochanter. These muscles flex the trunk toward the thigh. The muscles that are relaxed during the movement of the trunk flexion are longissimus, illiocostalis, multifidi, rotatores, semispinalis capitis, spinalis, interspinalis, and intertransversarii. Multifidi, rotatores, semispinalis capitis, interspinalis, and intertransversarii were mentioned earlier in this analysis.…

Pick 3 of the following and argue that the following are either “adaptive” or necessary for survival, homeostasis, and/or reproduction: 1. Adluminal compartment of seminiferous tubules • The adluminal compartment is made up of spermatocytes, spermatozoa and spermatids. The compartment is considered a tight-junction. This tight-junction is said to be a blood-testicle-barrier.…
On Sept. 6, Celeste Bouffard Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is opening in downtown Sudbury. Bouffard uses mindfulness therapy, meditation and cognitive behaviour techniques to get her clients to open to different forms of treatments when it comes to assessing issues from the rib cage to mid-thigh area.…
For my written critique, I chose to talk about an AP pelvis and surgical lateral hip image that I performed on my ER days’ rotation. My patient complained of entire right hip pain. The patient stated that he had heard a loud popping sound when he stood up earlier that day. He had not walked since. The patient suffers from frequent hip dislocations and was positive that he had dislocated it once again.…

As per OMNI, the patient is diagnosed with cervical facet joint arthropathy, thoracic spondylosis with radiculopathy and cervical spondylosis without myelopathy. IW is status post anterior cervical discectomy and fusion at C5-6 and laminoplasty at C3-7 levels on 02/15. Electrodiagnostic studies dated 8/14/2015 revealed no evidence of an active cervical or lumbar radiculopathy to otherwise explain his proximal arm or leg symptoms.…
My interviewee is my mother, Reinelda. She is 52 years old Filipino-American woman, currently living a healthy and active life with a balanced diet and daily yoga lessons. Prior to the diagnosis, she experienced constant bloating, unusually heavy menstrual periods, and bleeding between menstrual cycles.…
