Without Johnny life is hard for many people, he has a large impact on multiple people, such as Dally. Dally has always been the dangerous type. He is the toughest, coldest, and meanest person of all the Greasers. Fighting has always been his hobby, he does it to blow off steam. He has lied, cheated, stole and been arrested. Dally has this wall surrounding him that no one can break down. The only person that can break down that wall that wall is Johnny. Dally thought of Johnny as a little brother and without Johnny , Dally is hopeless. “Dammit, Johnny… oh, dammit, don’t die, please don’t die…” (S.E Hinton pg 149). In this quote Dally is saying that he doesn’t want Johnny to die. Dally does not want to live without Johnny in his life.
