Dally: A Short Story

Decent Essays
The doctors were able to tell us that Johnny will be out next week. We’ve been waiting for months to hear this information, and we already lost Dally. It was a tragic thought. He was running from the police, and they shot him. Maybe, if we heard this information early, Dally would still be alive. He was fed up, and he thought Johnny was dying, which he was. Dally went and robbed a grocery store. Pointing his trick gun at the police, you could tell this is what he wanted. He was overcome with sadness and grief. Now, we finally get news that Johnny is going to be okay. He will never be able to walk again, but he won’t die. If only we had been able to get the new earlier, it's hard to imagine what could’ve happened.
My school work suddenly dropped.
