Dallas Cowboys Observation

I appreciated the observer noticed:

Anne noticed that I have become more confident in my teaching which was something I did not ask her to watch for during her observation. This meant a lot to me that she noticed my growth and the student’s growth. She said the reason why my explanations were so clear was because of my confidence. I have been struggling this semester with having confidence when I teach in tutoring and during practicum. It definitely comes and goes. Anne also noticed how hard Will works for me and that means a great deal to me.

I wish the observer would have noticed:

I wished I would have discussed my rules with Anne before she observed me. The first set of rules for the classroom had to be changed after I met Will because they did not apply. Will does not have any behavior issues and needed rules to help motivate him which is why I changed them to trying your best, having a positive attitude, and trying new things. I do not need to review the rules each day because Will has done an excellent job at keeping the rules so at the end of my lesson I will praise him for having a positive attitude and for trying new books. Will works so hard every tutoring sessions to improve his fluency and I have puzzle pieces at the end which he earns by keeping the rules. Will received all of his puzzle pieces so he gets the Dallas Cowboys poster for his hard work. …show more content…
Anne noticed that I give him specific which is what I asked her to watch for when she observed my lesson. I love watching him smile when I tell him the terrific progress he is making. Anne noticed he got excited after I clearly explained why he was doing
