The song “Unpretty” co-written by, Dallas Austin and TLC member Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins in 1998 and also produced by Austin being released in 1999, was to influence young women how to accept themselves for who they are in their own significant way. The song has (in music terms), a slow tempo and is not too high in volume as far as bass, tempo and so forth. The lyrics along with instrumental bring the togetherness in understanding of the song.
