Dale Johnson Trucking Interview

Throughout my survey and interviews I have found that both interviewees had very similar views on the questions I had asked them. First interview I had was with Dale Johnson he is a truck driver and owns his own business called Dale Johnson Trucking. My second interview was with Susan Grau who currently works at the City of Moline as a-----. She has worked at a grocery store in the past and has supervised many employees for many years. Sitting down with Dale, I first asked him what he looks for in a person to hire. Dale explained that he wants reliability. He thinks that is extremely important in a person. He likes to know that people will show up to work every day and get what they need to get done. He particular doesn’t like to have an employee that will be constantly late or calling into work. In his past experiences, he has worked with employees who were always late and constantly calling in. He has seen the strain that it causes not only on him but his fellow employees. He also mentioned that just being there and present is not enough. Susan said she looked for a bubbly personality and willingness to learn. Since she worked at a grocery store dealing with the public it was always important to her that the people she hired and supervised be approachable, kind, and helpful. Dale and Susan went on saying it is extremely important because it gives off a good first impression to new potential boss. Dale went on saying that if you are going to an interview you should always look clean, sharp, and presentable. Since he does work in a shop environment, it would be a good idea not to wear business attire after the interview because your clothes will get ruined.
