How to Win Friends and Influence People which was written by Dale Carnegie gives techniques and examples as to how to be successful in an ever changing social world. The book list solutions on how to handle people, how to get people to take interest in you, and how to be a leader. Dale Carnegie throughout the book goes on to explain some of his past experiences on how to handle certain types of people and the different situations that can come about in daily life such as showing respect for other people’s opinions and never saying “you’re wrong”. Throughout the book there was a lot of points that I agree with like becoming genuinely interested in other people. Though there was another point I didn’t agree with when he says don’t criticize, condemn or complain. I don’t agree with that statement because sometimes criticizing someone sometimes can actually make them a better person in their daily lives. How if they have been doing something the wrong way like maybe not making full eye contact with someone while they are talking to his or her boss or an employer you bringing that up and teaching them helps them out. Throughout the book there were plenty of suggestions that definitely can be helpful and one that I thought was very useful was Be sympathetic with the other person's ideas and desires. Nobody in today’s society likes someone who turns down all of someone’s ideas and in the book it discusses different ways to understand other people’s beliefs without necessarily having to agree with what someone is saying but as long as you are respectful to the other person it would be fine. Overall I was greatly impressed with this book and can say after reading this book I would highly recommend this book after reading it I found
