With reference to Rebecca Solnit’s “Dairy: In the Day of the Postman”, I am torn between accepting her submission wholeheartedly and rejecting it. I would however, agree that there is nothing with merits without demerit. So same goes for the advent of technology to community and human relation. While Rebecca laments on the loss of deep and nuanced conversation through letter writing, I would say that technology, though has some serious effects on community and human relation, but, nevertheless, has actually brought people closer to one another.
