Formed in 1993, Daft Punk is a French electronic music duo by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. They were founded by Pedro Winter, the head of Ed Banger Records. Their music consists of house music, funk, techno, disco, rock music, and synthpop. They had significant popularity in the late 1990s. They are also known for their visual stylization and disguises associated with their music. The duo have worn elaborate helmets and gloves to give of robot personalities. After 2001, they have rarely been seen on TV and routinely do not have interviews.
Originally, they were in an indie rock named Darlin’. After a short period of time, they disbanded, leaving Bangalter and de Homem-Christo to experiment with music. They released their
