One day I was going to my dad's friends house. I thought that only Jasmine and isabella would be there, (which is my dads friends daughters). But to my surprise three other kids were there! Their names were Karina,Quentin, and Robert. I thought that Karina was 13 and was in drama. She actually was only 11 and hated being in drama. I thought that Quentin loved video games and I thought he was 12. But really he was only 10 and and he did love video games and nerf guns.

Then there was robert I thought he was 6 and loved to be annoying! But really he was 4 was interested in nerf guns as well as Quentin, and he can be kind of annoying but for the most part he hangs out with his brother Quentin and my brother benjamin.

As I was observing the relationship between the client and his daughter, it made me recall feelings of my relationship with my father. I found myself creating biases to form connections. Through this experience, I realized that I need to learn specific language skills for counselling in Punjabi as well as learn ways of appropriately showing an understanding without the focus on self-involvement. I also found learning about PTSD in older adults and the effective interventions used, such as CBT very useful for future practices. It is important for workers to acknowledge beliefs and to be sensitive to age-specific issues (Clapp & Beck, 2012).…

My favorite characters were Eddie and Marcus. Eddie and Marcus may have foolishly robbed people and pointed a gun at their victims, but they almost always stuck together. Neither boy would “rat” out their friends, instead they kept quiet and attempted to protect each other as long as possible. The characters I liked the least were Eddies and Marcus’ mothers.…

Becoming a father was the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life. It is such a special feeling living for someone else and not just yourself, knowing that your sole duties in life are now to love, provide, teach, mentor, and discipline. I always hear people say “ Im don 't think I 'm ready to be a parent.” and to be honest, I do not think anyone is ready to be a parent. I can still remember like it was yesterday the day my son was born.…

I decided to write about my relationship with my dad in this post because Father’s Day just passed and because I’ve already made a post about the incredible bond I have with my dad. In that post I mentioned that he was away in Korea when I was born and I didn’t get to see him until I was 7 months old. My mother, who was only 22 at the time, had a lot of responsibility taking care of the three of us who were all under 3 years old. When my dad came home he took over the caregiving duties for me completely because he wanted to make sure he bonded with me. There was a solid attachment built between the two of us at that time that has been tested over time but never frayed.…
