Dadaism Research Paper

What is dadaism? Dadaism was an art movement that started in europe in the 20th century. Daddist expressed their feeling with how they felt about the violence towards the war. Dada started to become famous after world war 1. The first ever dadaism exhibit was opened in 1920. After this happened dadaism started traveling around the work it then ended up in pairs. For many people this movement was protesting which people say that is what cause World War 1. In my research paper that i am doing I will be touching on some pretty main people that helped develop dadaism and that helped it get out across the work such as Suzanne Duchamp, Jean Crotti and Theo van doesburg. Suzanne Duchamp was a famous french dadaist painter, she began her studies at the Ecole Des Beaux art school. Suzanne served as a nurse in pairs during world war 1 and later after that her dadaist works appeared in different exhibits and she started getting recognized. Latter on at age 22 she had her first major exhibit in pairs. Next in 1919 she married another famous dadaist artist named Jean Crotti. He first studied in Germany at the School Of Decorative Arts. In New York, he started a studio with Marcel Duchamp and later on met Marcel sister Suzanne Duchamp. He produced on of his best known arts which was a portrait of Thomas Edison . Jean was part of the exposition internationals in pairs. In many years he made so many painting and they were exhibit at major galleries in England, Germany and the United States. Later on when Jean had passed aways he donated all of his persona paper to the Archives of American Art. Jean’s artwork included a lot of portraits of people.
