One of the largest refugee camps in the world is currently located in Dadaab, Kenya. The living conditions in the camp are atrocious. Overpopulation is one of the biggest problems in the camp, as Somalian refugees continue to pour in, escaping from the war and famine that has ravaged their country. The refugee camp is supporting and housing more than quadruple its capacity. Many people even die on the way to the camp, and the ones who make it end up living outside in tents produced with whatever they can find laying around (Lowenberg 2011). The history of refugee detention camps is riddled with reports of poor living conditions, abuse, and neglect of the detainees. For instance, the Dadaab camp was originally built to hold only 90,000 people,
