Dachau: The First And Largest Concentration Camps In Germany

Dachau was established on March 20th, 1933. The camp was divided into two sections, the camp area, and the Crematory area. It contains 32 barracks. The prisoners at Dachau were used as forced laborers. Their Liberation was on April 20th, 1945. There were more than 250,000 prisoners, out of all of those, more than 30,000.

Buchenwald concentration camp opened on July 15th, 1937. The prisoners population there was about 80,500. It was one of the first and largest concentration camps in Germany. They were the first Nazi camp liberated by US troops, on April 8th, 1945.

Bergen-Belsen

Chelmno was established December 1941. The Camp consisted of two parts, the administration section, barracks and storage for plundered goods; burial and cremation
