This is why systems as the decision support systems (DSS) have been develop to aid with information and knowledge to carry on with important decisions. DSS could be consider a branch of the healthcare management information system (HMIS) that focus on achieving business objectives and goals in the healthcare sector. Therefore DSS goals may look similar as HMIS goals, these programs are developing to collect data, reduce medical errors, increases patient satisfaction, and increase revenue for the organization.
