The purpose of this report is to advise you why the Drug Awareness and Resistance Education program (DARE) should in fact be incorporated in the local school district. The use of illegal drugs is having an effect on the youth who attend school in our city, and parents who are deeply concerned about the well-being of their children, strongly believe it is because they are not being educated on the devastating effects of illegal drugs or the abuse of alcohol. The Boca Raton Police Department has conducted research on why the implementation of the DARE program will be beneficial and deter the youth from participating in the use of illegal substances that has the potential to lead them to a dangerous lifestyle.
The DARE program was founded in 1983,
