The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, known as DACA, is an American immigration policy that allows young illegal immigrants to apply in order to become a legal citizen of the country. DACA is not an easy way for illegal immigrants to become a citizen of the country it is a strict and diligent process made so that only the best and most responsible citizens can stay in the country. The longer DACA remains undecided, the longer the Dreamers and their families have to wait for answers. If we wait to do something about DACA for much longer, than those who could benefit or obtain citizenship through it will have to live their life in a limited way in fear of being deported. We force those who rely on this policy to look elsewhere for help in their life, even though they are doing everything they can to obtain their citizenship by revealing they are illegal. At this point in America, it is essential that we do something about the policy now, so that those affected do not have to wait any longer for answers. We have to keep in mind those who are eligible came here when they were very young to some this is the only home that they have ever known. Implementing the program into the immigration laws of this country will bring an end to the constant turmoil and unanswered questions among politicians and the country’s citizens. It will also provide a permanent home to those who have lived in fear of being taken away for so long. The immigrants who are involved with this program better our country's stance as a nation that accepts all people of any race and
