Last night, Father was caught stealing food. Everyone was outraged, especially Mrs. Frank. She spoke like she had never spoken before. She demanded that he be sent out of the Annex. Mother and I said that if he goes, we go too. As strange as it sounds, I think it would be pretty weird without him. Though if he were to leave, then at least we wouldn’t have to hear him and Mother having their “discussions”.

However, in more positive news, we heard news of D-Day and the invasion of Normandy by the Allied Forces. Miep came up to tell us the news, and we were all so overjoyed that we started celebrating right there on the spot. I am hopeful that this invasion will lead to the end of the war in the near
