Stormy Weather: The New Hampshire Primary and Presidential Politics by Dante J. Scala is written with the intent to deliberately educate about the New Hampshire Primary. From its birth, with through many examples at various primaries, Stormy Weather does just that without skipping a single beat. Mr. Scala utilizes a concept from Analyst Rhodes Cook that breaks up the nomination process into five stages, but adopts it as his own by applying it almost exclusively to the New Hampshire Primary. The first stage, for example, is the “Exhibition Stage,” also known as the invisible primary due to the fact that there is nothing in place to indicate how well a candidate is performing during this timeframe.…
The main focus of this paper is on Lake-effect snow, what it is and how they form, and why do we need to learn about them. The Lake-Effect snow is also called the Lake-Effect enhanced snow and the entire process begins when the continental…
( Video). The weather that the North East was having, made a big difference on the hurricane. If a blizzard happens there, then Anaya must have put it in the story for a reason. That reason is because it foreshadows the blizzard of confusion that will be within Antonio's mind in the coming pages. Antonio will see his brother Andrew in a brothel making him wonder if his innocence is lost as was predicted previously in one of his dreams. He will also see the death of Narciso, and he'll wonder why a good man had to die while an evil man such as Tenorio got to live. Him questioning his innocence religion perfectly matches with the setting of a snowstorm.…
Katrina hit New Orleans the hardest, mainly because it is below sea level and easily flooded, but it also did damage in other states. It caused flooding in Southern Florida and damage and extensive power outages in Miami. From the Gulf coast to the Ohio Valley, flood watches and warnings were issued. Parts of Biloxi and Gulfport, Mississippi were under water. Some rain bands from Katrina also produced tornadoes creating more damage.…
By the time the actual storm had hit, there was a sudden change in weather that caught many new settlers by surprise. The territories were made up of large rural areas with everyone spread out miles apart from each other. Farmers were miles away from home and tending to their crops, while children were just coming home from a day at school. Because of the mild weather and bright sunshine earlier that day, many of the settlers went without wearing heavy coats or even gloves to protect them from the unexpected drop in temperatures that was about to occur. By the time the actual storm hit, there were a very limited number of places for the settlers to go.…
Not only did the little amount of technology and communication contribute to the problem of many deaths and the change of economy, but wasn’t the only problem. Weather broadcasts updated dramatically after that fateful days and so did weather forecasts. If that blizzard never happened, our weather technology might not be where it is today. Nowadays, it helps with everyday life and planning for the…
Last week Meteorologists predicted the category three Hurricane, Joaquin, to make landfall hitting the Carolina’s. Gratefully it never made landfall, but unfortunately the Carolina’s received trillions of gallons of rain from the hurricane. Florence County flooded very badly; streets resembled Miniature Rivers, golf-courses looked like The Rapids, bridges were completely washed out, homes completely flooded, people were being evacuated, etc. Last Thursday night the rain started, it was unlike a regular thunder-storm that we usually experience in South Carolina. The rain was heavier than normal and it felt like the rain was all coming down at one time, the wind was abnormally stronger, and it stayed constant throughout the night.…

Chapter 1 every Trip is a Quest (Except When It 's not) Summary: Foster discusses the idea that though many details are different, every quest has the similar archetype or makeup. There is always a protagonist on a quest, a place they must go, a stated reason to go to their location, and challenges and trials they encounter on their way. Also, Foster states the reason any quest truly occurs is self-knowledge.…

Adultery: Okay or Not? The “Storm” by Kate Chopin, I believe is the most controversial and interesting reading of all of them. In short, this story shows what happens when two old lovers meet alone when the weather is brewing a storm. The “Storm” is based upon five main characters, Bobinot and Calixta (husband and wife), their son, Bibi, Alcee and Clarisse (husband and wife).…
Heavy snow storms can knock down power lines and produce severe hail storms that can damage one’s home or car. Plants during this time have lost all their leaves or probably already died due to the cold weather. Ice on roads and cars are very common during winter due to the low and cold temperatures. More people…
