Nowadays, the technology has made computer crime has been increasing at an alarming rate. Rapid development of information technology (IT) has brought with many new applications and opportunities that brings positive and negative effect in our lives. In addition, people around the world can communicate in real time on variety types of devices such as cell phones, tablets, computers and etc. Besides, a photo, video, text message or anything can be viewed by anyone, shared with others or spread to all people of users in a blink of an eye and become a viral. Both of the situations use the same tactics by using the Internet. Cyberstalking happens when a person has evil-intentioned to harass with the target using direct communications through e-mails, chat rooms, Internet, text message and other electronic forms of digital communication or tools. Furthermore, the message content that are sent through Internet or online actions represent unwanted expressions or threatening behavior. The cyberstalking of using electronic may include sending frightening or abusive emails, repeated contact through social media, hacking into private accounts, installing malware, posting false or slanderous accusations online, encouraging others to harass the victim and others. The example of potential actions that might be covered by state and federal cyberstalking laws are information gathering, monitoring activity, false accusations, cyber-attacks, online orders, getting others involved, false persecution, sending of electronic greeting cards and many more. Usually, the stalkers are people known to the victims. For example victims of cyberstalking such as victim’s former partners, colleagues, friends, competitors and etc. In addition, the signs that someone might be cyberstalking us are get notifications that somebody has tried to access our email or others social media accounts, random posts appear on our social media profile, frequently get friends from people that we do not know, receive harassing or intimidating message online, get strange messages asking for personal information and so on. But, our government has rules and regulation on this type of cases. If find guilty, the cyberstalking laws have penalties for this
