This document provides the progress of my ISM 491a capstone project. This project was to research an encryption method that would strengthen the company’s environment and protect them if there was ever a data breach. As presented in my project proposal, I identified two principal objectives for this project to be successful. The first was to perform an assessment of the environment currently in place, and the second was to come up with an encryption solution that can be implemented in the company‘s environment without disrupting any applications or processes. This update will provide the research that is completed to this point, the area that I am falling behind in, and the strategy to bring the delinquent tasks up to date.…

Interprofessional communication is the key when it comes to developing and identifying respect and appreciation for other health professionals, in order to provide the patient with well rounded care (Conn, Lingard, Reeves, Miller, Russell & Zwarenstein, 2009). Refined communication skills are essential for strong inter-professional interactions (Kairuz, & Bond, 2013). Our group was preselected so the initial stage of formation was rather smooth, but as we began to negotiate about the roles and allocate tasks there was slight tension between us all (Lingard, Resnick, Espin, Regehr, & DeVito, 2002), however this was resolved by working as a team. We were able to allocate certain roles as there was no other interest by people in the group to obtain that role, but the remaining roles were allocated by elimination, along with any other tasks. Once the tension was put aside I was allocated the role of the PDHPE teacher of Jenny and the facilitator of the meeting.…

It was a fun way to work as a team and accomplish a much-needed task in the community. This project bettered the lives of children in the Des Moines area that do not have much which, in return is more rewarding than a lot of accomplishments in life. Through this project I learned how to conduct a community service project if I wanted to one in the future. Simple delegation and time management is all that is needed to make a project like this successful. Knowing that we helped a small population with a small class, I can only imagine how many children a group at a hospital could help if they all worked…
