Most people know that bullying is wrong because it can cause permanent damage to the person who is victimized. Bullying is defined as aggressive and unwanted behavior between two or more parties (stopbully.gov 2016), it takes the form of verbal or physical abuse or a combination of the two. It is considered harassment when it is based on a student 's color, sex, disability, religion, race, or national origin. When the abuse takes place in the virtual world of the internet, it is called “cyberbullying.” This new form of bullying includes posting fake web pages, sending crude pictures, or tweeting slanderous messages. Cyberbullying has become a more prevalent and pernicious form of bullying because it is anonymous, can take place 24 hours a day, …show more content…
For instance: a mean text messages, rumors sent by email or posted some embarrassing pictures, videos, websites or fake profiles on social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Although those examples sounded like nothing and people could delete immediately, but the truth was that once a photo, video or rumor has made it into a cyberspace, it may be there forever, because there have an unknown number of people were on the media world during a day. All it takes was that a ‘friend’ shared/forwarded to others friends who repost or forward it further over and over and reach a large audience. That post will never went away, it will be there forever, and the thing is that the victim will never know when is that post will come out again by the time when the victim thought that was over. The pain of being cyberbullied could be 10 times of the pain of traditional bullying, and it was not just one time process, it was a willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of computer. Once something bad about the victim posted on the internet, it already made a bad effect, but then people did not even tried to help those because of the what the bullied did, people just started to laugh and had a mean comment which make the victim got a double feeling of pain, anxious and …show more content…
Some cyberbullies often attack victims for power or entertainment for no reason or even have a jumble of emotions that lead them to harass victims. It caused those victims built up the stress factor over time and felt alone and scared, especially for student. It will caused him/her did not want to go to school, tried to skip class and had a sharp drop in performance and grades, also over use of drugs and alcohol to avoid the problem and the laugh of others and
