As oppose to the traditional bullying, cyberbullying enables bullying behaviors via e-mail, the internet, or mobile phones ( Arnett et.al. 2013). The difference between cyberbullying and traditional bullying is that a bully can his hide or her identity which gives the perpetrator more power over the victim. The victim on the other hand is stress and worry that he or she doesn’t know the true identity of the bully. Adolescents who are involve in cyberbullying are likely to be involve in other types of aggression, physical altercations, and face-to-face bullying ( Coburn et.al., 2015). Cyberbullying puts victims at a high risk because parents nor school officials are aware of the activities due to it being discrete. Cyberbullying have many negative effect. It leaves the victims feeling frustrated, angry, confuse, and guilty. Some perpetrator use sexual images to frame their victims. This also drives candidate to frame their victims. No one should undergo such traumatic events at any point in their life. Precautions, programs, and interventions would bring awareness about bullying in order to prevent adolescents with disabilities and adolescents in the LGBTQ community from the negative side effect of bullying. Anti-bullying school programs are popular ways to help reduce bullying. However, research have shown that they ineffective. Instead of helping to reduce bullying, it increases the likelihood of bullying. The stand- alone bullying programs are ineffective because of three main reason. These reasons are; Labeling and attempting to punish bullies can increase incidents of bullying, anti-bullying programs are often more reactive than preventive, and stand-alone programs are difficult to implement and sustain.
Good et. al (2011) suggest that in order to have effective anti- bullying programs schools must embed practices into an existing schoolwide positive behavior support system. Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support approach provides the tools and practices to help support students and staff and promote positive social and learning
