Over the past decade bullying, both online and in person, has increased nearly 30 percent. Self harm and suicide, has increased majorly, nearly 50 percent. The reason for these numbers could be due to the fact that the use of internet and cell phones has increased, that the way people look has changed, or that simply people are more easily offended. Adolescents are more easily exposed to bullying and other types of violence, due to this, more and more of it is going on, it is ‘okay’ because they ‘saw it in a movie or video game’.
