Cyberbullying affects thousands of adults and adolescents every day. It results in children skipping school and eventually getting jobs or not as adults. That’s why cyberbullying should be a federal offense. Many don’t know what cyberbullying is; cyberbullying describes as “willful and repeated harm inflicted through the medium of electronic text.” There’s actually no federal law against cyberbullying right now. Virginia’s law is more specific towards bullying, not cyberbullying, but still gets the point across as being “any aggressive or unwanted behavior that is intended to harm, intimidate, or humiliate the victim.” It must also have a “real or perceived imbalance of power between the bully and the victim, and must either be repeated
