Argument: These documents show that it affected the learning environment. S.N. would have left it alone if it did not affect her learning, but since she chose to tell the school, it shows that it affected her learning. In another case, a principal had to take time out of his job, which is to make the learning environment good and stable, to deal with a student. And the cyberbullying done by this student, caused other students to be disturbed in their learning. Schools should be able to limit online speech because it disturbs the learning environment.…

If a student’s social media should be regulated because of cyber bullying tendencies the school should notify this student’s parents. The best thing that the school system could do to prevent cyber bullying is to communicate with their students’ parents so that their parents can teach them to be careful of what they say online. Studies show children are more likely to listen to their parents than any other adult. Communication between the school and the parents is the solution to cyber bullying. Should Schools Be Allowed To Limit Students’ Online Speech? Imagine you are being cyberbullied and you tell the school, but they can’t do much about it because the person who cyberbullied you is saying their first amendment rights are being violated. Schools should limit students’ online speech because their are many negative effects of cyberbullying and it is unfair to the victim that the school can’t do much about it. Restrictions schools should place on what students say using electronic media are: the students’ have to sign a document saying they they won’t cyberbully and certain apps and websites shouldn’t be allowed for people under the age of 18. There are three main reasons why schools should limit students’ online speech: several students’ and teachers have been cyberbullied before, students can cyber bully other students on social media, and cyberbullying is threatening, harmful, and humiliating.…

I feel that schools should enforce a no tolerance bullying campaign that in which if students are found bullying another through any form of medium, they must then go to the school councilor to address the issue as well as get parents involved. By doing so students will be able to address problems fully with a professional and this professional can scaffold proper behavior. Furthermore, I believe that every school should help kids build confidence in the classrooms, so that even if they are bullied, the effect of it will be less because of their high efficacy. Additionally, I like the idea of getting parents involved in two ways. One would be at the school in which when a student is caught bullying or is victimized, the parent is made aware and then can further address and discuss this issue with their child.…

Though not acknowledged across all states, a common definition in congruence with a wider recognition of the problem makes addressing the elusive issue a bit easier. The problem is that technology will inevitably continue to advance. So, as technology progresses, local and national anti-bullying policies and laws must continue to evolve at a parallel rate. Many of the issues faced by federal and state governments concerning social media bullying are avoidable for schools and communities at the local level through the implementation of procedures to limit the effects of social media bullying. The most notable issues that need to be addressed is recognition of the problem itself.…
