Cyberbullying “is the use of electronic communication to bully a person, typically by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening nature”. Cyberbullying is a huge problem with teenagers, Cell phones and computers themselves are not to blame for cyberbullying. Social media often makes cyberbullying much easier. There are boys and girls that get bullied and cyber bullied everyday. In documents “A” “C” and “G” I will explain why I believe that schools should be allow to help limit students online speech.
Everyone gets bullied and it’s not okay but in Documents “A” it shows that girls are more often to get bullied than boys are. Cyber bullying can affect a lot of things for example it can affect self- esteem, increased feelings of sadness and loneliness, and academic performance. In document “G” is says that students get harassed because of their race, color, national origin, sex and disability. I think that schools should deal with the harassments at schools. Students should never get harassed at school, every student should feel safe and be able to go to school without worrying about getting bullied. The civil rights, U.S. department of education strongly believes that schools must take an action to stop cyberbullying. I love that the department of education cares and believes and there needs to be a change. I Chose this document because the department of educations is help to limits on students online speech.
Overall I believe that schools should be allowed to limit students online speech because schools have a lot of bullying and it can be prevented if the schools and family do something about it. Many students are getting out of hand on these social medias, hopefully there would be a change I Chose Documents “A, C & G” because i believe those documents help explain why schools should be allowed to limit students online
