The use of internet has developed significantly throughout the years. The internet is a source of information available to the public. Nowadays the usage of internet is important because it has many varieties of information varying from news, events, studies, and education materials. The use of the internet has developed the way people associate around the world.
The internet was invented so people can access information but negative concepts have developed through time and now it has become a problem. Cyberbullying, less verbal socializing, and addiction have grown along with the internet growing itself but are negative concepts.
Cyberbullying is the the communication through the internet to bully or threaten a person. Many children are victims of being bullied by either being called names or made fun of their appearance. Parents are unaware of cyberbullying taking action in their children’s live because teens are less likely to report it by reason of the feeling of not being able to associate about it with anyone. According to Cyberbullying Research Center, half of all teens have experienced cyberbullying and from that amount 10 to 20% experience it

People on average spend more time on their phone for social media or video entertainment than they do sleeping (Daily Mail). Before falling asleep the majority of kids and teenagers spend time on their phone chatting with their friends. A reason that supports that the internet is addictive is that schools have a phone policy because students tend to get on their phone to get on twitter, snapchat, or instagram. Although the school has a policy on phones some students disregard that and still use their phone. Because this has become an issue students are getting referrals because they are using their phones in class when are told not
