One of the reasons is because they are motivated by revenge. This is usually because the bully was a victim of cyberbullying and they want to get back at the people who hurt them. They want to feel a sense of control. They are often called bully-victims Gorfdon, S. (2014, June 12). A study conducted by researchers at the Institute of Education in London found that less than 1% of primary school children are "true bullies" – those who are not bullied by their peers Bloom, D. (2008, August 29). Another reasons is they give into peer pressure. Kids will cyberbully if they want to be part of a group of clique. They aren’t worry about the consequences or who they are hurting, they just want to able to be part of what ever group they want to join. Another reason is, they think they won’t get caught. The fact that the bully can post things anonymously, gives them a false sense of protection. Because the cyberbully isn’t seeing the victim’s reaction to their post, it makes it easier to say whatever they want. Bloom, D. (2008, August 29). Whether a cyberbully deletes a post they may have made, they don’t realize that everything can be recovered. Nothing is ever truly gone because they deleted something.
