In the second text, “Cyberbullying: 11-Year-Old Falls Victim to Offline and Online Bullying in Virginia,” the author, Brian David Crane, discusses some of the major issues with making bullying a legal matter. Crane brings up some unconsidered thoughts, such as the matter of a prosecution. If a child were accused of bullying when it was considered a criminal charge, then there would have to be a prosecution involved -- something no one would ever, in their right minds, want to deal with. Another thought pointed out in the novel was the issue of new, and more painful, forms of bullying -- such as cyberbullying.
