For many years, schools have to ensure fitness for students. According to many universities schools have had decreases in money because of school sports. Therefore, schools should cut school sports to reduce loss of money, to relieve stress they will have more time to do homework instead of having to go to long games and practices so students don’t have to stress about their grades, and gain as much knowledge as possible gain much knowledge while enjoying it.

As many people know, sports can cost quite a bit of money. In an article from January 2014, Amanda Ripley state that “Premont Independent School could save $150,000 a year for a science lab and a music teacher if they cut out sports” (11). Money can be a big problem for schools, Ripley states that “schools are so entrenched that no one realizes their actual cost, and bleachers can cost half a million dollars alone” (Ripley 11). This shows that districts could lose too much money if they continue to keep school sports. This is necessary for districts that that are in need of money.

According to the article” not only do students focus more on school now, but parents are now attending more after school activities and conferences (Ripley 11). Schools without sports have made a difference on Premont Independent School, as the author goes on to state“in the first semester 80% of students passes their classes, compared with the 50% last fall and about 160 people attended the parent conference week compared with the 6 last semester(Ripley 11). This means that any student who does not do school sports will do good in school and not have to stress about getting bad grades. This is why districts can help save money by getting rid of school
