As defined in Merriam-Webster Dictionary, “culture is a set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution or organization” (Culture, n.d.). Publix is one of the best companies to work for because their culture shows how much they care about their associates, their customers, and their community. The organization is 100% employee owned and aims to promote internally. "Our culture is such that we believe if we take care of our associates, they in turn will take care of our customers. Associate ownership is our secret sauce," she said. The associates recognize that company’s success directly corresponds to the associates’ success. The associates success relies on customer satisfaction and loyalty. (Kim, 2014). By Publix investing in their employees, it creates a work environment filled with positive attitudes that are expressed to the customers on a daily basis. One of the company’s values is being customer service oriented. Publix prides themselves on making sure their customers are completely satisfied with their shopping experience and purchases. On their corporate site it states, as their guarantee, “We will never knowingly disappoint you. If for any reason your purchase does not give you complete satisfaction, the full purchase price will be cheerfully refunded immediately upon request (Mission statement & Guarantee, n.d.).” With a mission statement as such, Publix is able to please their customers and keep them coming back to…
