When it comes to long-term care for the elderly there are two types’ custodial care and skilled care. Custodial care is a care for the elderly that is a non-medical care facility, which provides help with daily activities such as bathing and dressing (LTC Staff, 2012). In some circumstance the custodial care will provide assistance in cooking and household upkeep (LTC Staff, 2012). In contrast, skilled care for elderly is within a medical facility that can only be provided by or under the supervision of skilled licensed medical personnel (LTC Staff, 2012).
