Curtiss Pride Disadvantages

I would say that Curtis Pride is a hero for many people. He had a disadvantage that most people do not have and cannot emphasize with. In spite of his disadvantage he, stood up for himself and for what he wanted and for his dreams, while being an example to other people. To me that is basically what a hero does. There are other kinds of heroes, but I think that sport players impact our country the most.

Because Curtis Pride was deaf he had lots of trouble at a real school. When the teacher turned around and faced the board, he was un-able to hear the instructions and what was being taught. Obviously this was a huge problem for him. He also was getting made fun of, on the playground and in the hallways, at school. People did not want to give
