Cursive writing is a viable part of education and brain health. Having the ability to write in cursive helps not only with medical documents, school documents, and simple bank signatures, but it also makes your mind stronger, and more diverse when writing anything down. I believe that cursive writing should be in the educational system. Growing up in a society where people always have to do some sort of paperwork, this becomes a needed factor for writing skills. Wouldn't you rather have you or a family member learn a skill that in the end can only benefit you instead of hurt you? If you dont learn cursive then someday you may have to sign your name, or write a letter to someone that only knows cursive, but you won't be able to. Cursive

Some states are trying to bring cursive back into their school learning program, so that kids know how to use cursive. In my opinion, I think that cursive should still be taught in school today so that kids can have cursive to use if they get tired of using regular print in school. First cursive can help by taking notes faster so students will not fall behind and miss any of the notes need to take in college, Next cursive helps the left and right brain cells communicate better, lastly cursive is a skill that everybody will need to know for later in life. Also cursive makes the left and right brain cells work together so each side of your brain works better together. One reason cursive should be taught is because of reading important documents. Many kids can’t read important and historical documents because they are written in cursive. The mother asked them to read it and they couldn’t, the mom was shocked that her kids couldn’t read cursive.…

If what the author one says is to be believed, then teaching cursive in schools would still follow the guideline of providing tools for our children to apply knowledge and skills to future endeavors. In the many conversations with my children regarding the matter, as well as other various subjects, my biggest defense was always claiming that the teachers knew better than I. After have read both the above articles I agree with the opinions both authors and think both are equally valid.
