In my opinion I believe cursive was once a big part of learning when I was younger, now in days not so much. I remember how excited I would get in writing class when we were learning how to write in cursive. I loved writing my name and also doing my work in cursive just to show off. That was back then, things are different now. I'll explain how. Technology has taking a turn for the better. Most schools require you to do work on computers, for example, this Hi-Set test I'm taking is on a computer. Why? maybe it's just easier to manage everyone's work. I completely understand that part. I find it easier also. Writing out our work on paper might be easier for some people that aren't too good with typing, but after you learn just a little, it …show more content…
I recieved my phone and my confirmation by email. As weird as it may sound to some people I actually find it more convinient. Before, I would have to go to the store of my carrier and fill out the form there. That takes time and if you have a busy life it's a hassle. My signature was just as good as it would be if I signed the form in person. Which doesn't require me to know cursive. Most kids now in days don't learn cursive in school and continue to better their education. Don't get me wrong, it looks good but I don't believe it's a neccesity. My work can be just as good as the next person writting in cursive. I prefer computer typing also because it doesn't hurt your hands as much. It's maybe because of the way technology is now, but I think it's a good thing. I find it expands our minds a little more. Times are completely different now and cursive isn't a big deal when it comes to writing. Things change around us as times go on and we also have to change with it too. We're always learning new things and if we were to stay in our old ways I don't think it would help us anymore than it already has. This is just the way life works, you can't change it so adjust to it and make it the best you

Also studies have found out the kids that took notes by hand performed better on a test then those who took notes by computer. Cursive is not being taught that much anymore, so that means the kids in college are not going to do as good as they us to do because of computer taking over. One reason cursive should be taught is because of reading important documents. Many kids can’t read important and historical documents because they are written in cursive. The mother asked them to read it and they couldn’t, the mom was shocked that her kids couldn’t read cursive.…

Cursive should still be taught because studies show that 50 percent of literacy is cursive and it’s a tool that you can apply and gives you more options. Some examples to show that cursive should still be taught today are, you can write faster, you will need to write a signature, and you are more literate if you can read and write cursive. Although some people think cursive should not be taught is because everybody says that we don’t have any time for it or that we already use technology. That’s just some facts of why cursive should be taught today.…
