Clinical Nurse Educator – Mental Health
1) Current authority to practice as a registered nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
As required I have current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
2) Current certificate IV in Training & Assessment or working towards same or be prepared to undertake upon position commencement.
I am prepared to undertake the certificate IV in Training and Assessment at the first available instance. I enjoy activities related to training and have no doubt to my successful completion of this course in a timely manner after enrolment.
3) Demonstrated interest in policy development.

I have excellent organisational skills, a strong initiative and a sound ability to methodically evaluate, reflect and problem solve. Whilst working in the Mental Health Intensive Care Unit I have learnt valuable skills in time management and efficiency. I judge myself to be extremely proactive and well-organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to not only priorities my workload but to adapt quickly to any changing and challenging circumstances.
My ability to prioritise workloads and effectively manage my time can also be seen in the successful completion of university studies whilst engaged in full time employment and maintaining personal relationships without compromising on the quality or dedication to any of these …show more content…
I understand that the ongoing training and education of staff is vital in the maintenance and improvement of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. I have the ability to support the learning needs of others and the capability to instruct via several different learning styles. I have a thorough understanding that adult learning involves multiple forms including written work, supervision, the direct observation of clinical procedures, verbal communication or the use of group learning and I recognise the importance of understanding that different people learn through different methods.
