Everyone has been made fun of, teased, and hurt physically and emotionally in life before and Curley, the boss’ son is one of those people that does this to others. Many tragic events happen in the book Of Mice and Men written by John Steinbeck. In Of Mice and Men Steinbeck explains how George and Lennie, migrant workers who moved from California to find jobs and own their own ranch during the great depression, and with the troubles of lennie being mentally handicapped, and many people getting in Georges way of achieving his goal. Curley is truly the loneliest character in this book, because he doesn't really get along with many people, he gets angry fast, and he also doesn't have a lot of people there for him to look out for him, proving that when you’ve gotten treated …show more content…

He ain’t a nice fella.”(89) Even though Curley’s wife basically cheats on Curley all the time with other guys on the ranch like lennie and George inside the barn and trying to get them to do stuff with her and then turn on them. Curley’s wife despite that she kinda cheats on Curley she has even found how disrespectful Curley is to others and how he bullies others that's why she doesn't like him at all anymore. After Slim told Curley to stay with his wife Curley's face reddened and he didn’t listen at all “ I’m goin’,” he said “ I’m going to shoot the guts outta that big bastard myself, even if i only got one hand.Im gonna get ’im.”(98) This tells alot about Curley in this one quote, explaining how he doesn’t listen to anyone and he doesn’t care about what others think of him at all.
