This novel gives people who do not have Asperger’s, a great insight into the life and mainly the way in which someone with Asperger’s thinks. This is shown multiple times throughout the novel. All the chapters are primary numbers because he likes prime numbers, he finds them to be like life “very logical but you could never work out the rules”.

It also gives us a perspective of someone living with him through letters which his mum has written. She explains how it was hard for her to live with Christopher, giving an example of taking him to the shops when it was really busy. Christopher crouched down and put his hands on his head and was in the way of everyone. When she tried to get him to move he shouted and knocked things off the shelf. It is not Christopher’s fault; it is just how he is.
