Take a seat mom and dad because what I’m going to explain to you two is going to take a while. When you were younger did you have a curfew? Probably not and that’s why you gave me one so I do not make the same mistakes from you. That’s one of your jobs to make us turn out better then you, sort of like a generation that becomes a better person over generation. I’m talking about curfew because I am hoping you can make an exception. As you know I’m seeing a girl named Chris and she lives about 30 minutes away. You both like her and I do to that’s why I go through the trouble to be with her. The problem is that if we go see the movie by the time the movie ends it’ll be past my curfew. I know you’re strict but I believe that I can make you reconsider. The thing that may convince you to let me go is maybe giving more chores. For example I would clean the gutters or attic. Just to go see the movie with her, we can make a compromise with chores. I’m not that young anymore and I have a good amount experience because I drive on the interstate to see Chris frequently. What I’m saying is that getting rid of this curfew will help you two understand that I’m growing up. Since I’m growing up I need to be more responsible. I trust you can make a

If this new curfew would be adopted my parents would have take time out of their own day to drive me to and from practice which they could be doing much more useful things than driving me to my practices. The weekends are a time for teenagers to take a small break from school and be with their friends, relax, and have a good time. The curfew would limit the opportunity for this to happen because we all have things to get done during the day and most of the time we have the nights off. If the curfew would be adopted teenagers wouldn't be able to hang out with each other at night as much as if there was no curfew.…

Curfews When the Government sees teens out after dark at night, they don’t see kids just living their lives but criminals trying to commit more crimes. When youths go outside at night most of them are just trying to have fun, get some fresh air, or maybe just to hang out with their friends, but with curfews, you can’t even walk across the street without an adult after the set time of the towns specific curfew. It’s not fair to punish all youths for the actions of the few individuals that actually commit the crimes. First of all, curfews often don’t work as well as they are supposed to.…

Though the nine o’clock curfew will get teens at home at a safe time, it still has its flaws. Enforcing this curfew could cause problems, such as, effecting teens who have jobs, needing more law enforcement, and limiting time for social activity.…

The Trip to the Grocery Store I haven’t seen him in weeks or maybe even months, I thought as I glared across the small distance between where I was standing and my dad’s car. With my One Direction CD clutched in my hands, I started to close the distance by walking towards his car. I opened the door and slipped in, and then he started to drive to the grocery store. At the time I was under the illusion that my dad would be even slightly happy to see me, but no.…

Trayvon Martin shot dead by a neighborhood watch! The neighborhood watch is supposed to be the eyes and ears of the community and report crime as they see it, rather than take matters into their own hands. George Zimmerman, 28, shot and killed Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old black teenager who was walking unarmed through a gated community in Sanford, Florida. Neighborhood watches do not just “watch” the community, instead, they invade ones’ privacy. Neighborhood watches are not beneficial to communities due to racial biases between the neighborhood watch and the people of the community, the allowance to carry guns and lack of proper training.…
