On May 10th, 1773, Great Britain's parliament passed the Tea Act. The main objective of the Tea Act was to save the East India Company from bankruptcy, by lowering the tax on their tea. I have taken part in many extracurricular activities over the past year. Alpha Xi Delta undoubtedly provided each of us with wonderful memories and friendships that will last for years to come. Mary Hoyle ’81 says that, from the beginning of her college career, she knew she was meant to be an Alpha Xi Delta. Growing up in an environment that mostly eats meals at home, I was hardly introduced to restaurants. As a result, of mostly eating meals at home, restaurants never really satisfied my taste buds, due to the fact that my mom’s home cooked meals are twice as delicious. Moreover, it was later on in life when I started eating at restaurants, in which have given me a lot of wonderful memories I will never forget. Despite, not eating out a lot when I was younger it has become part of my life style ever since I have started working and attending college.
