B.Result and discussion Percentage air voids
On the replacement of cupola slag we obtained the result that, on the percentages of 10, 20, 30 and 40 we have the Va values of 4.8, 4, 4.8 and 3.2 % which satisfies the morsth requirement of 3-5% and further we observed that the gradual decrease in the Va values up to 100%. So that for Va the replacement of cupola slag up to 40 % will satisfies the morsth requirement.

Percentage of voids in mineral aggregate
On the replacement of cupola slag we obtained the result that, on the percentages of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 we have the Vma values of 16.08, 15.38, 16.08, 14.67, 13.96 and 13.61 % which satisfies the morsth requirement of 13-17% and further we observed that the gradual decrease in

Higher the stability of the mix, greater will be the strength of surfacing. Stability values of semi dense bituminous concrete mix at 60ºC on replacement of quarry dust by cupola slag from 10 to 100 percentages will give the stability of 12.62 kN,19.03 kN,14.65 kN,9.53 kN,9.52 kN,8.43 kN,7.42 kN,5.56 kN, 5.56 kN,3.48 kN respectively. So that the replacement of cupola slag up to 60% will satisfies the morsth requirement of 8.2 kN. Flow value
On the replacement of cupola slag we obtained the result that, on the percentages of 10, 20 and 30 we have the flow values of 3.67, 3.32 and 3 mm which satisfies the morsth requirement of 3-5 mm and further we observed that the gradual decrease in the flow values up to 100%. So that for flow, the replacement of cupola slag up to 30 % will satisfies the morsth requirement.
X. CONCLUSION Fig 10.1 Increase in Stability by Replacing Cupola slag
From the overall all study, we have observed that the replacement of cupola slag in place of quarry dust will improve the various properties in Semi Dense Bituminous Concrete Mixes. From this overall study,
For the value of Va, the replacement of cupola slag up to 40 % will satisfy the morsth requirements.
For the value of Vma, the replacement of cupola slag up to 60 % will satisfy the morsth requirements.
For the value of Vfb, the replacement of cupola slag up to 30 % will satisfy the morsth

The objective of the lab was to determine the densities of known and unknown metal solids and liquids. For the liquids, initially, an Electronic Scale was placed onto Work Bench, and it was zeroed. An empty 50 mL Graduated Cylinder was placed onto the scale, weighing 54.00 grams. In increments of 10 mL. Until the volume was 30.00 Ml, 10.00 mL of water was poured into the Graduated Cylinder. In between each increase of 10.00 mL, the total volume and mass were recorded.…

Based on the data represented in figure 11.22, the system is under control. This is because variations appear to come from sources that are common to the process. In addition, the system shows a lot of stability and no need for corrections or changes. Important to note from the figure is that the process data can be used to predict the process future performance. For Systems not under control sources of variations are obtained by analyzing the chart since it results to a degraded process performance.…

Introduction One of the main challenges currently faced by Alcoa Intalco Corporation, or any aluminum plant, is the disposal of spent liners otherwise known as SPL. On September1988, SPL was listed by the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as hazardous waste (53 Fed. Reg. 35412) coded as K088, and with that came stricter regulation and much rather extensive fines and matters of safety issues, not to mention, different protocols for safe handling and storage of SPL. Landfilling was considered the safest way to dispose spent liners in the past and Alcoa Intalco had 3 landfills past to which they are still financially responsible for. This challenge can take a financial toll on the company if not properly handled.…

Protein Separation Using Gel Filtration Chromatography Introduction: Chromatography techniques are one of the most useful methods use for the isolation or separation of macromolecule from a mixture. The most common used chromatography techniques are thin -layer chromatography (TLC), column chromatography, etc. The purpose of this lab exercise is using the gel filtration chromatography to separate different proteins from a mixture based on their size. Also, collecting elutes that run through the column, and constructing an elution profile to show how the column separates molecules by molecular weight. Gel filtration chromatography is one type of column chromatography, which separates molecules according to their size (#1 Lehninger, 87).…
