The problem I researched for this experiment was to see if the weight of a ball affects the speed that ball in travel at when shot or thrown. While researching this I found out that many different sports involve arm strength to throw an object far or at high speeds and many athletes don’t have enough arm strength or maybe don’t have much at all, but for every sport there is always a workout plan to increase what is needed. To increase your arm strength, the weight of a ball is a huge factor in the increase of your arm strength to soon throw the ball faster or farther than you ever could.
My hypothesis for this experiment was, if a lacrosse ball, baseball, tennis ball and racquetball are compared for the highest speed, then the racquetball will have the highest speed, because it’s lighter than the others and doesn’t need as much force applied to it to travel at higher speeds than the others. To further understand my experiment you will have to know about speed, weight and the affects or air resistance. How I came up with this experiment is, knowing that different weighted balls need different amounts of force to hit higher speeds, I thought about what would happen if I applied the same amount of force to four different weighted balls.

This happened, because since the heavier balls need more force to reach higher speeds, the force wasn’t enough to reach he speeds that the lighter ones did, although they got close. Since both the tennis ball and racquetball are much lighter than the baseball and lacrosse ball, they wouldn’t need as much force applied to it to reach those higher
