In the article, Culture Does Matter Mitt Romney argues that culture is the reason why some countries like the US has prospered and others have not. While I do agree that to some extent that culture does play role on development but in the case of Israel and Palestine I do not agree with his argument that cultural differences is what makes Israel more successful than Palestine. The example Romney gives is that the culture in the US led to the work ethic and individualism of its citizens which led to its success. According to him freedom is what makes the US so successful while that might be correct this is the problem Palestine faces.
