The Hmong Culture Culture is unique form to describe someone and to learn things. It is also a form to understand the different points of view of a person. When I hear people talking about other people from all around the world the first thing that comes up to my mind is culture. I’ve always wanted to learn how people from other places have different cultures and how there cultures are the same or different from mine. The question “What is diversity?” is a very difficult to answer. One could argue that there are multiple correct answers, and no wrong ones. A simpleminded person may argue it’s a simple distinction between white and black. When a sociologist defines diversity, they would have many many different ways to define it. A few they must incorporate into their definition are: culture, race, and socioeconomic status.…

Arts programs help kids with disabilities dramatically. Having the involvement of integrating children with disabilities and children without into the same arts programs, gives them a chance to get to know each other and interact with one another. This allows the “normal” children a chance to get a better understanding of children with disabilities, by giving them an opportunity to teach the disabled kids how they interact with art, music and theatre. Music especially helps with disabled children because they are able to have self-expression easier, their communication skills develop more, and they are able to interact with the music better than another medium (Kim, Wigram, & Gold, 2008). The purpose of this research is to demonstrate that arts programs should integrate disabled children so it can promote inclusion, increase normalization, and develop collaboration between youth groups.…

Culture is the belief, art and customs practiced by a particular society. Culture also includes the way of thinking, working or behaving governing a particular society or group (Asia, D, 2015). The cultural life is where a child is raised, where they are from, and even how they are brought up. It encompasses all things in their immediate world that influences what the child believes to be normal. A child brought up in a home where one man is married to five women is likely to believe this is what all families are like. Another example of this is a parent who was raised in an abusive home and becomes an abuser as an adult, but fails to see the wrong in the situation because they were neglected or beat. It is a myth that a child raised in the ghetto will automatically be a worse child than a child that comes from a nice home.…
