Everyone throughout time in every culture has always wanted three things out of life and that is freedom, prosperity and religious beliefs to live their lives the way they want and not as someone else dictates. That is the link to all cultures from the beginning of time. People define culture as a way of life, such as beliefs, customs, languages, music, food, behaviors and their social interactions with society today.
Material culture refers to the physical objects, resources, and spaces that are available to define their culture. These include homes, businesses, schools, church, telephones, televisions and vehicles. For example, vehicles, without vehicles people could not go to work or school or anywhere but in many other cultures …show more content…
A subculture is a group of people that have different interest, music types, and views on political issues and social groups that people may be associated with in society. Consequently, for me, I do not know my subculture and never thought of it before, but I do know that I love blues, jazz, country, and nevertheless bluegrass music. My beliefs are that everyone is equal no matter who they are in society. I believe that every person has a right to live, to get an education, religion and health insurance. My political views are kind of neutral at this moment of time. I belong to two social groups online which is Facebook and Mocospace. I believe in second hand clothes compared to higher price clothing unless it’s under garments. How this fits into mainstream culture is that it relaxes and calms me down and it has made me who I am today.
When we differentiate between different subcultures and mainstreams we come with different types of subcultures such as recreational, Ethic, vocational, however, we also come up with mainstream cultures such as music, language, …show more content…
The reason, I say that is because many songs and lyrics are about killing, death, sadness, and pain. While, on the other hand, it could be a good thing because it expresses happiness, joy, peace, relaxing and also soothes to calm a person down. I listen to a lot of different music all but hard rock and heavy metal music.
Secondly, defining language culture is a form or manner of verbal expression. Language can be spoken in many ways, such as body gestures, sign language and nonetheless, verbally with words. However, there is also braille for the blind.
Thirdly, comes down to behaviors culture. Behavior is the way someone behaves; also: an instance of such behaviors. In the American culture, people act in ways that are not appropriate and that could lead into crimes such as hate crimes, prejudice, and by the same token, could also turn into a serial killer. In conclusion, I have explained what different cultures are and what impacts that some cultures have on my life as a human being living in America. When you think of culture think of how and what made the biggest impacted on your life growing up. In addition, you can learn a lot from the older generation about the old ways of life, however, the older generation can also; learn a lot from the younger generation about
